Shipping & Returns

RETURN/REFUND POLICY: Any product returned must be returned unused and in its original packaged condition. A refund will be issued after the product is received and inspected and determined eligible for refund. Please contact us before returning an item for an RA (return authorization) number. If there is no RA number written on the box a refund will not be issued. Shipping costs will not be included in the refund.

All returns/refunds will be charged a 6.6% restocking fee.

WARRANTY: Products sold by Chris Krug's HARDWATER KITING AND EASTSIDE BIKE GUIDES are covered by their respective manufacturer's warranties.  For further information please contact the manufacturer or review the product/owner's manual.

 

Shipping policy/*Free Shipping.  Chris Krug's HARDWATER KITING AND EASTSIDE BIKE GUIDES offers free shipping on all orders over $100 to any location in the lower 48 States.  We do not ship internationally. We ship using FedEx, UPS, and USPS. Express shipping or Shipping on orders less than $100 is calculated on a case-by-case basis.

Cancellations

CANCELLATION POLICY (PLEASE READ)

CANCELLATIONS BY HARDWATER KITING:  For safety reasons, your instructor may cancel/reschedule a lesson due to weather or poor surface conditions.  At Hardwater Kiting we put every effort into avoiding this and if we feel we need to cancel we try to determined viability a day or two prior to the lesson.  However as a weather dependent activity instructor cancellations may occur on the date of the lesson.  Our primary focus is your safety and it is our responsibility to make sure our sessions are a safe, fun and a fulfilling learning experience for our students and clients. 

Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate.  Dangerously gusty or violently shifty winds, white out conditions, poor surface conditions or lack of wind are all factors that can affect the safe execution of a lesson.  In the event that the conditions warrant non-airborne instruction we will cover a wide range of material in ground school.  No refunds are offered for instructor cancelled lessons or lessons cut short due to conditions beyond our control. Hardwater Kiting will prorate the remaining lesson time to cover any lesson components that were missed previously due to conditions. 

In the event that a lesson is cancelled near the end of the season and there are no available days for reschedule left in the season the lesson will be held over to an available day the following season.  If a client wishes, they can schedule a dry land session in the meantime which can be used to cover such things as basic kite handling and components of the lesson that aren't snow/ice dependent.  Then when the snow kite season is back upon us we can schedule a time to complete the snow dependent segment of the lesson.

Lessons that are incomplete will be rescheduled for the remaining lesson materials. 
At Hardwater Kiting we make every effort to ensure you get the full scope of your chosen lesson.  We have the current best equipment to ensure that we can hold our clinics in almost any wind conditions.  More often than not conditions will cooperate and allow us to get the flight portions of your lesson covered.

RESCHEDULES and CANCELLATIONS by STUDENTS/CLIENTS: If need be students and clients can cancel or reschedule lessons within 72 hours (3 days)  prior to lesson date. They are then put on standby until another date becomes available. As stated above there are no refunds issued for cancellations or reschedules.  Cancellations will be re-scheduled for the next available date and time.

At HARDWATER KITING we understand that sometimes things happen. Therefore we deal with reschedules and cancellations on a case by case basis.  In the event that something completely unavoidable occurs (such as a family emergency etc...) Hardwater Kiting may refund the lesson fee minus 20% for administrative/prep efforts (such as site inspection travel costs).
